What is the author’s aesthetic (what makes the piece attractive)?

I thought it was light, bouncy, and humorous! Not all poetry has to be an exercise in mental masturbation. It can be fun too. Esoteric nomenclature can be provocative, beautific, and paint a picture worth a thousand words (but using much fewer). 

On the other hand, it can also make one sound like a pretentious ***hole.

In lieu of the former I think simplicity is best.
