Being
Category: Issue 3, Poetry/Lyrics WinnersDozing under a tree
the shrieks and shouts of a passing public
recede.
And I believe I can hear the thrum of the ground:
of a billion billion infinitesimal beings
just being.
I think of the tectonic plates.
The movement of the great and small.
Of everything.
And I wonder.
