  • Ouch. Dave, I can’t tell what is a direct quote from a blog or what a summary of it is, and whether that summary is yours or Technorati’s, what is your commentary is, and ultimately, what your conclusions are.

The title suggests you’ll be making a case for or against taxes, so I thought maybe you taking the pulse of the blogosphere by tracking specific phrases to see if as a whole bloggers were coming down on one side or another… but your conclusion isn’t very strong (“It seems that they are a bad thing.”) because you bury it under the distinction between federal funds and tax dollars.

  • Yeah…

I knew it was pretty bad, but I posted it anyway.  Maybe part of me was hoping others will show me up grin.

Just so you know - all direct quotes were in double-quotes and all uses of “I” and “me” outside of double-quotes refer to me.

Do you think if the title were “Searching for tax dollars on the Internet” it might have come off better?

Anyway, I suppose I have violated a little bit of trust and for that I apologize.  I’ll be more careful from now on.
