Well written and thought provoking. I would have liked this to be in Short Story instead. Although “When stating the obvious, one should always use an exclamation mark so that people are not bored by it.” did make me laugh out loud.
I’d like to add “What is the meaning of ‘mean’?” and “Why should you care what other people think?” - questions from my high school math teacher, Fr. Joe Horn, and Richard Feynman. Fr. Joe got his question from one of his teachers.
Why thank you!
I actually wrote this one as a pardoy on my high school English Class as a creative writing assignment.
My teacher liked it so much that he asked if I would read it to the class.
Everyone else laughed, except for the person whose character was Lorie Kilo, who hates me to this day (I didn’t know her well enough to care).
What is the meaning of mean?
I suppose that mean is just the intent behind an action, expressed to you here in the limited language we speak. Mean can also be the average of a list of numbers.
There’s really no reason why anyone should care what other people think, but people do it anyway.
