I was inspired to submit this due to “Of Purification, Hearts, Groundhogs, and Candles” (which is fascinating). 

It’s amazing how much we don’t know about the things that surround us, about the way we live, about the origins of the words we use and the way we talk. 

Had to write a non-fiction thing for a course I’m taking on writing for children, and realized I had no idea why the hell people drive on different sides of the road.  This is a condensed version of what I found out by doing a little research on the internet.

It is always good to hear that your writing inspires others.

It is fascinating to discover the origins of everyday things that we take for granted.  I’ve often wonder about driving on the right side of the road myself.  I knew something about it, but you’ve filled in a lot of details.

Here in Namibia and South Africa (in fact, I think most of the SADEC countries) we drive on the right side of the road - which is LEFT.
