Jewel
Category: Poetry/LyricsYou took a black diamond
and broke it
and woke it
into a beetle.
You nudged it into my palm, where it
capsized, revealing its
irridescent underside.
Its feather legs and perfection
made me dizzy, thinking of your sweetness
and the generosity of chance.
