Remind Me
Category: Issue 5, Poetry/Lyrics WinnersStanding in a crowd
I notice her
The way she looks
The way she stands
The way she smiles
The way she wears her hair
I noticed her because
she reminds me of you
She turns to me
you but not you
Her eyes rest on me
Am I someone else to her?
We speak now
Of many things
Of life
Of love
Of loss
We speak far into the night
delve into one another’s soul
She reveals herself freely
Making her unique to me
Your image is altered slightly
in my mind to fit her
as I now know her
beauty lit by the dawn
Standing in a crowd
I notice you
The way you look
The way you stand
The way you smile
The way you wear your hair
I notice you because now
You remind me of her
