Software Epiphanies?
Category:It is often the case that when one is forced to contemplate an issue, they learn much about the world and themselves. As George Bernard Shaw said, “Few people think more than two or three times a year; I have made an international reputation for myself by thinking once or twice a week.”
Thinking about software induced epiphanies has helped me to realize what it is about blogs and reality telivision that interests us so much. There are many times when, sadly, I have spent hours of my life looking at various people’s blogs. I’ve never met the people before and yet I often have strong opinions about them. I think what I am doing is associating traits that I see in them with those of other people in my life. Say there was a person that beat me up consistanltly in elementary who was named David. Chances are, from then on I would be skeptical of anyone I met named David. While this is not necessarily a fair way of thinking, I believe we all fall into it from time to time.
Anyway, that was my epiphany from software.
