A Million Years Summer, 1984
“I want to bury you,” Steve says,
“And lay my eggs in you.”
Lets a lazy arm brush against my flank,
lean lazy and hirsute.
I
recoil and laugh, ambivalent ambiguity, sand in my paper cup.
Warm beer. Judy wants to go for a walk,
Brad is shivering. I’m
afraid that I’m too fat,
although it doesn’t seem to matter.
