Something Old

Category: Poetry/Lyrics

I hate your stupid leather coat
that sulks in the wardrobe, slowly oozing
cigarette smoke and accusations.

I hate your stupid grungy coat
that matched your stupid grungy hair
and clashed with your toothpaste-advert smile
and that yellow monstrosity you liked to wear.

I hate your stupid empty coat
that hangs, limp as a wind-sock in the still, stale air
and possibly laughs at
the ridiculous things I’d do
for one sodding photo of you.
