Statistics

A single idea popped into my head
And by testing I found it was true.
So shall I assume that every idea
that pops in my head is true?

Ten truths you taught me as I was growing.
I used them to build health and strength.
If I simply left the eleventh unchallenged
Would that honor my mental strength?

One hundred truths emerged from a book
And each of them helped me learn wisdom,
But would blind belief in the hundred and first
Honestly demonstrate wisdom?

One million truths I’ve learned from the herd,
And the herd’s been around forever.
Is this a sign to keep following them,
to stick to the middle forever?
