Sunny
Category: Poetry/LyricsSunny one, your hair splish-splashes
like a child’s chocolate stain on the pillow.
You squirm, sleep-slow
and twitch, dream-quick
and lengthen your limbs in lazy preparation
for a day that pours in, swift as hot honey,
through the bright stripe between the curtains.
