The Great White Dollar Bill

My arms are broken from years of work,
Endless toil,
3 weeks for me, 1 for the government,
Until taxes are raised again.

I strain to glimpse the American myth.

I’m really old and tired.

I have black spots on my livers, laws inflaming my appendix,

I’m worn and done like an old high top.

Relic of a doomed age,

(and don’t look in Eagle Claws for an answer, Eagles kill snakes, look at red, white and blue loans, payday advances on social security, income taxes hocked for rice at high interest rates)

Thanks to the American Dream that sold me to politicians,

I’m worth-
