Zombie’s Lament
Category: Poetry/Lyrics Zombie’s Lament
You think its fun being a zombie
You think that it’s all fun and games
But it’s lonely and terribly boring
When you can eat nothing but brains
Brains brains nothing but brains
If I eat anything else my stomach complains
I’m up all night with terrible pains
It’s boring just eating brains
People think zombies are a mindless and dumb
And I suppose that there’s some truth in that
But really us zombies just want to have fun
And sit with our homies and chat
But if I order a pizza or bread with whiole grains
You cannot believe how my stomach complains
My poor intestine immediately inflames
And I spend half the evening staring at drains
There’s a reason why zombies aren’t fat
Brains, brains nothing but brains
If I eat another I might go insane
It’s terribly boring
My taste buds are snoring
I’m thoroughly tired of brains
Last week in a restaurant I made a mistake
I was hungry for something to eat
So I looked at the menu and ordered the cake
The waiter he smiled and said bon appetit
And watched as I cleaned off my plate
The next thing I know, I was terribly sick
My digestive system had learned a new trick
A triple flop with a quadruple flip
And I had only my own self to blame
From now on I’m sticking to brains
Brains brains nothing but brains
If I eat anything else my stomach complains
I’m up all night with terrible pains
It’s boring just eating brains
