First of all Happy Mothers Day to all Mothers out there. Hope your day was great!.

Now, on to Litmocratic issues, first and foremost, let’s discuss the one thing that makes Litmocracy different from each and every other Lit Site in the universe, and that would be the fact that the editing board is made up by you, the public. By the writers and readers. Well, it is, that is, if you vote. This site rewards the pieces that are voted best by the public. In order to access the site, to post and win and get published, you have to participate. Simply let us know what you like and you get rewarded for it. It works like this:

“There is a requirement that you earn Brain Points before you can post.  The number of Brain Points depends on how much activity there is.  How does one earn Brain Points?  By voting.  Also, if you’ve voted only on pieces that have since been promoted to Literal Translations or fallen off the list, those votes won’t count any more.

The POST link will either tell you how many pieces are on your list and how many you have posted, or it will display all the categories to which you can post.”

Literal Translations is our quarterly print compilation journal of the best pieces we find. The idea is to get more involved. Read. Write. Vote. Interact. Win and improve your skill!

Okay. Next, We’ve improved the site some this week and are looking for more suggestions. Besides pictures in files, we improved the book entry process with the help of Jay76 and The Bomber. Thanks for your input. We need more. tell us what problems you might have so we can work on them. I have a suggestion. I suggest we have a litmag style front page with news and updates and a list that posts links to the top story or piece, as voted in each category, so you can see your work and name in the spotlight. As new pieces are voted to the top, they will replace the old pieces (some of which will be “retired” into Literal Translations) and we will have a fluid changing magazine style front. In fact I’m going to go post this idea in the Suggestion Box now and see what you think!

Lastly, the small 99 Burning $25 contests ends midnight tomorrow. We’ll announce winners in the next newsletter. This week, we’re posting the entrants below:

Bringing Down an Intergalactic Gangster using only a Digestible Stink Bomb… for Dummies by Jay76
Xanthan Gumm 2 - Working Class Clown by Rreed423
True Revelations: A Love Story of the Apocalypse by Buffalonious
A Good Day to Die by chicks

Have a great week.
