Yay. Thanksgiving’s coming. My birthday’s coming too, oi. I get to get fatter and older in one month. Nothing like a blocked artery and a stint for a present. Speaking of presents, Christmas isn’t yet quite on layaway but (gulp) is frighteningly in sight. All I want is some good news. Like the government quit because they grew a conscience. A market rally’ll work. Maybe we have one. I’d also like to see, you know, some MORE ACTIVITY at the site!!!
Jeez. I wanna’ read sonething that takes my breath away. Get some feedback. Interact. Make it like a crazy writers singles club. Hey there… Oh well, I’m working on getting more writing work every day and while January looks like I’ll finally have some overflow work to dole out again (Yes Theresa, I haven’t forgotten you), praps we’ll be able to steer some freelance work out pre-Xmas, though DEFINITELY post holidays we will have some.
On the home front, our very own Dave Scotese will be on a cool radio show that goes out to about 250,000 people. It’s called Short Order and is hosted by Sue Vogan. The show will be focused on the corruption our very own Prometheus faces in scientific research in Pakistan, as we’ve discussed in the past. We at Litmock are proud to help our brother, and I’m proud of my pahdner, friend and publisher Dave for fighting the good fight. It’s the only kind of fight I’ve ever seen him partake of. The show airs at 6 P.M. December 15th and can be found online here: www.contacttalkradio.com/hosts/suevogan.htm
Also, our good friend Prometheus wants all of Litmocracy to know of this publishing opportunity at an upcoming author seminar. In brief:
Mike Strozier is the CEO of World Audience, Inc. Mike will explain how publishing works today and what writers need to understand to be successful in this rapidly changing industry. Also, Mike will detail online marketing for writers.
Jay P. Granat, Ph.D. has written four books which were published by three different companies. Jay writes a weekly column for three newspapers. He is a guest columnist for several web sites. He is the founder stayinthezone, drjaygranat and expandyourpractice.
All of your questions about writing and publishing as a business will be answered by these two experts. Bring your manuscripts, proposal and your ideas and find out how to make it as a writer or publisher. Pitch your book to World Audience for possible publication. The seminar will be held on Monday, Dec 8th, at 6-8 p.m. at 1060 Main St., Suite 307, River Edge, NJ. The fee for this seminar is just $150. To register simply pay and show up on the 8th for a rewarding seminar.
For more information, contact Mike at worldaudience@gmail.com or Dr. Granat at info@stayinthezone.com.
Dave has mad respect for Mike. [Yes! Check out his book, The Labyrinth—Dave] They seem on the ball to me. Anyone that goes drop us a line and let us know how it went. We’ll post something about it in a future newsletter.
Meantime, post, write, discuss, improve, read, write, participate… You still have time to enter our “November Blues” contest.
Is anyone out there? Is this microphone on?
Happy Turkey Day,
