Ahoy to one and all, Merry Happy whatever the hell this time of year to you for whatever you’re into. I have foreshadowed it for a few weeks and it is upon us. I once again have secured some overflow work and if all goes well will be getting some more in the next few weeks.

Here’s the thing, anybody interested, post your work or resume in the freelance section and contact me. There will be various stuff coming along but the bulk of it will be web copy work and various articles. Pay will differ, but if you’re good and professional and quick, you can make some decent part time dough doing what you love and refining your craft. For instance, the stuff I have now consists of 50 word articles that pay $7.50 per article. It’s boring work if you make it so, but I can do 4, sometimes 5 or 6 an hour. That’s pretty good money right there, $30-$45.

It has to be quality work, you won’t get paid for junk because the customer won’t pay for junk. I’ll do what I need to keep them, but hey, I’ve been doing this for awhile and if you want to ignore guidelines and deadlines to try and make a quick buck, you’re not a professional writer anyway. Maybe you can get a gig as a politician.

Anyway, Dave wants to urge everybody to vote because Literal Translations will be going to print in about a week. then again Dave always wants people to vote. So do I. But with Dave it gets serious. You ever get the chance to meet him you’ll see what I mean.
He’s all subliminal about it, like this:

Dave: Hi Don, (vote) glad you could come out (vote) to California (vote). Good to (vote) see you (participate). How (vote) are you (vote) doing?
Don: Uhm… ok I think.

Yeah, sumpin like that as I recollect. Anyway…

VOTE!

Don

P.S. from Dave - The $1000 unpublished book contest is still going on and voting is still open in the November Blues contest, and Starlizard’s opened a new December Satire contest.
