AHEM… Books n such Litmocratic goings on! A day that will live in… ignominfamy?
Haloooo…
We have some decent news to share. And sorry, uhm, I can’t believe this is the first news letter since right before New Years. I thought I just posted one the other day and it’s already January 17th. That’s what happens when you get real busy! Time flies. I hope everybody had a great New Year too. I got some grumpy e-mails on posting and stuff. Keep them coming. they help us to simplify the site. And don’t sweat being aggravated, they come to me and I’m gruff so just go ahead and cuss me out, we’ll go have a beer and kick some trashcans over and scrap and laugh it off, just by gawd help us fix this ever loving work in progress. A work in progress that has made me happy time and time again. Which brings us to the news.
Yay!!!

Next up, I’m going to the SuperBowl to cover it for a few magazines. Getting the whole VIP press treatment, player interviews, a few after hour parties, one with Franco Harris, which should be cool except I hate the Steelers, a formal with a couple hundred stars and celebrities at Ybor City, and an all day Clear Channel event on radio row the day before the SuperBowl. I will get pictures and will send a newsletter from Tampa, and will do a few pieces just for Litmock. Then I get to go to the game. I’m afraid my Ravens are too banged up to win tomorrow, but Dear Lord (yes I’m pretending you’re up there just in case) if they pull of a miracle tomorrow and I cover a SuperBowl the Ravens are in, that will make this whole hellish past year a hazy fading blur.
Next, and this we’ve been working on for a little bit and are hammering out the details now. When I get back from Tampa, a few weeks later, hopefully by the end of February, I’ll be hopping another jet to go to L.A. Why? Ye ask (I can hear you)! I’m writing another book, and this one, as they say, has some serious potential. I’ll be writing the memoirs of Sheila Kennedy, Penthouse Pet of the year, 1983. This book is more than just a memoir, Sheila is incredible on her own, how she survived that life and moved on and wasn’t spit out and destroyed by it like so many is a story in and of itself. But Sheila lived with publishing magnate Bob Guccione and his family for over a decade. Guccione was every bit as big, powerful, and connected as Larry Flint and Hugh Heffner, but he was a recluse like Howard Hughes. This is the first story about the world of a man who made hundreds of millions in the ‘80’s to lose it all in the ‘90’s. The inside world of serious power, fame and fortune, and all the exotic and often twisted goings on in that world.
Oh, and my manager Eddie Adams is working with the New Mexico Film Commission over the next few weeks to see if we can’t wrap those projects up as well!
I can’t wait to dig in. Again, I’ll have pics and all, and keep ye abreast. This is all very important because I really started a lot of this right here on Litmocracy, winning tons of prizes, networking, honing my skill, then getting small jobs like I get for members now and working my way back up the food chain. This is going to be a blast. Prometheus, I’ll get you some more work soon, I’m working on it and waiting to hear from the guy I was getting you stuff from before, the Holidays are over. He should be back soon. All the stuff I’ve been getting has been quick turnaround, and Star Lizard and Dave have helped with those.
Until The SuperBowl,
Have a good ‘un!
(...Go Ravens!)
