I’ve always dabbled in short stories, but just completed my BA at Ohio State with an emphasis on creative writing in June. I have lived a very full life and traveled all across the U.S. collecting moments of story.  I went back to school because I’ve always wanted to do it - empty nester, tortured artist, I guess.  I teach Developmental English at Zane State College in Ohio while working toward my MFA in a low residency graduate program at Spalding University in Louisville, KY.

I hope you’re enjoying the stories here.  If you haven’t noticed, the Literal Translations category (available from the table of contents) has all the back issues.  The purchase page (click the cover at the top on the right) lists all the backissues and the stories in them too.

You make me wonder how many of the members here have writing as a main part of their education.  It wasn’t until after I graduated that I took creative writing classes - from Jincy Willet, author of Jenny and the Jaws of Life, at UCSD.
