Maybe this is one of the motivations behind faith in the afterlife.

For me, the feeling you describe doesn’t motivate me toward any belief, but rather toward the action of living life as fully as I can each day.  Each of us gets one lifetime, right?

It’s not supposed to motivate u towards any belief and living life as fully as possible is the right way no doubt. the whole point was to show that this is something thats bound to happen and u have to be prepared of whats going to happen next. u cant just sit back and cry over something that hasnt happened.its not fair to the beautiful life uve been given. just live ur life fully but keep in mind there is more to it afterwards.
