Wow!  I live in SoCal, and I have complained about immigration, about the amazing amount of people living here that “don’t have enough respect to learn the language”, about the loss of jobs for the American teenager.  I suppose I never took my head out long enough to even think about why they are here.  Your’s is an eye-opening piece, and I thank you for sharing. 

On a technical note, I enjoyed reading it; it reads almost conversationally and distributes great information in an easy-to-absorb and entertaining way.
