Lulu doesn’t charge us anything to print the book.  To publish it, all we have to do is upload the word document and let people who want to buy it know that it’s there.  When they buy it, Lulu credits the account.

The only out-of-pocket expense has been the time it took me to create the book and get releases - which I did two years ago.

I’ll buy one…How are you going to promote it?

I hadn’t thought about how I’d promote it.  I suppose I’ll promote it the same way I promote this website.  I expected that E2 itself will generate a lot of orders for the book.  I’ll probably mess around a bit with Google ads to see if there are people out there looking for stuff like that.  It’s a timeless book, so I’ll have a long time to optimize my efforts.

Your question has made me realize that publishing is more about getting people to want to buy something than it is about making it available for purchase.  That’s kinda bad for me, but obviously something I have to deal with.
