  • Looking at things “objectively”

    Look through the window of a classroom. The teacher tries to calm the waves of a heated discussion, by saying that students should look at things objectively and not submit their own personal (subjective) thoughts.  Then teacher requests a homework essay on a theme.

    Pupils hand in the essay – the teacher is discouraged and says:  “I am disappointed; you have not submitted one original thought of what you personally think ...”

    Tough ….
