Personally, I think this piece could have used a little more description. (ha ha)
All jokes aside, fantastic imagery. It has an etherial vibe going on, and I found myself thinking that it would neat to see an animated short based on it.I wondered about the children at the end. Are they yours?
Hmm… I never considered what the children might be. I’ve started looking at everything I ever wrote as allegorical and often find interesting new analogies that I had never intended to describe. I think maybe the children represent humanity itself. The orange is what we work for - maybe retirement? The hill at the beginning is childhood. Falling through the air is something I started writing about a lot after I graduated from college.
Anyway, I have three daughters, the youngest is the only one with brown hair and it is long and straight, so no, they’re not mine
