You might want to post some of your reactions to others’ submissions in the forums and let them know there that you’re looking for feedback.  You can even provide a link to this story.

I don’t like the idea of an eating contest, so take my feedback with a grain of salt .  I like the background - Kobayashi’s history, the day trader, Allen, and the girl protecting herself from possible spew, but I kind of wanted more to tie all that together.  The redeeming quality for me is that this story shows how a physical skill can be better executed when the mind is occupied, and that progress can be made through effort.
