Illuminating Anniversaries Of This Week

March 29- In 1638, Swedish colonists establish the first European settlement in Delaware.  In 1886, Dr. John Pemberton brews the first vat of Cocaine-Cola (Coca-Cola).  In 1936, Adolph Hitler's policy of reoccupation of the Rhineland is supported by 97.8 percent of the German electorate in a referendum.  In 1951, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg are convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage in connection with their passing of United States nuclear weapon secrets to the Soviet Union.  In 1971, Lt. William Calley is convicted of premeditated murder for the massacre at My Lai.

Anniversaries of interest for each day of the upcoming week will be found throughout the newsletter below.

FOREWORD

This is just for those in the "tax honesty" community...

"It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

-Samuel Adams

It's Grown-Up Time

“Hold your tongue!” said the Queen, turning purple. “I won’t!” said Alice.

“Off with her head!” the Queen shouted at the top of her voice. Nobody moved.

“Who cares for you?” said Alice (she had grown to her full size by this time). “You’re nothing but a pack of cards!”

I COULD BE WRONG, BUT I'M BETTING that until you read the lead editorial in last week's mid-edition update you believed that you had to accept Federal Reserve notes (FRNs) as payment for your goods or services if tendered as such. Or you believed you had to pay your bills with them; or that they have any significance whatever other than in that the federal government has obliged itself to accept them in payment of debts owed to it, and will tender them in payment of its own debts.

Last week I showed you that none of these things are true, and that all your life you've been misled by a state-(and state client, crony and collectivist-useful-idiot)-serving fiction.

Years ago I showed you that no law requires you to use or present a social security number to live or work or be paid for work in the United States, and that all your life you've been misled to the contrary by a state-(and state client, crony and collectivist-useful-idiot)-serving fiction.

I have also shown you that "income" within the meaning of the "income tax" doesn't mean "everything that comes in", and that all your life you've been misled to the contrary by a state-(and state client, crony and collectivist-useful-idiot)-serving fiction.

All in all, through these revelations and others, what I've shown you is that the deterioration and corruption and collapse around you is not the outcome of a secret overthrow of the law or the consequence of some deep flaw in the US Constitution. Instead it is just the result of certain factions in society having gained so much influence in education and media as to be able to make Americans misunderstand the law in ways that suit the interests of those factions.

No authority stands behind any of this nonsense. All there is behind any of this nonsense is propaganda, selfishness, ignorance and inertia.

All there is behind any of this nonsense is the willingness of these special interests to browbeat everyone else, and the reluctance of everyone else to stand up against it, hold their ground, and break the destructive fictions upon the rock of their resolute insistence on the truth.

THE CHALLENGE BEFORE YOU is that standing-up part. It is the doing-what-is-right part, even in the face of petulant anger from the spoiled brats and brain-dead Neanderthals who want you to just go with their program and lie quietly while you and your children are bled for their benefit, and your once-beautiful and bountiful experiment in liberty-defended-by-law is burned to the ground.

The challenge before you is that of refusing the allures of comfort and comity at the seemingly easy price of "going with the flow" and sinking quietly back into the matrix. The challenge before you is that of holding your ground in the face of fiery-eyed shrieking madness from the fiction-beneficiaries, and, like Alice, recognizing that those who stand in the way of your truth are nothing but a bunch of cards and rising from the bad dream into full consciousness.

These are not challenges unique to our time; they have always been the price of liberty. As one-time slave Frederick Douglass put it so well:

"The whole history of the progress of human liberty shows that all concessions yet made to her august claims have been born of earnest struggle. ... If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what a people will submit to, and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."

The fact is, in our time, these challenges are the easiest they could be, because not just the natural law but even the written law, the state's own written law, stands with us and against the screamers who want you and I to stand down and shut up and quietly agree with their self-serving pretenses. We don't have to stand against the law; we simply have to stand against the false blandishments of the law-defiers, speaking our truth and refusing to participate in their lies.

It's that simple.

NOW, GRANTED, SIMPLE DOESN'T MEAN "EASY". Standing firm against a scary pack of cards is scary, and scary is hard.

But simple does mean easy to understand and easy to undertake. All that you must do is make your choice and stick to it, like a grown-up who knows what it takes to be the boss even in the face of a willful child's tantrum.

In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.

-Thomas Jefferson

Another Educated American Turns An Alleged "Income Tax Balance Due" Into Zeros And A Refund Check

CtC-EDUCATED AMERICAN MIKE LONG has just finished turning what had been a better-than-$15,000 asserted tax liability to California-- plus interest and penalties-- into an acknowledgement by the state that his private-sector earnings are not taxable and a refund of everything paid against that alleged obligation. As Mike explained to the state in a January 10, 2013 document accompanying his submission of an educated, amended tax return for 2011:

"The payers have listed as "wages" payments that were not "wages" so defined, but were, in fact, non-taxable receipts. I am rebutting their claim, because I am a private-sector worker.  The payers were not my "employers," I was not their "employee," I was not, during 2011, engaged in or receiving gains, profit or income from a "trade or business".

I expect a full and complete refund within 30 days."

And so it was (although it took 61 days, not 30). Mike's  victory in enforcing the Constitution against California-- the 850th posted here of the tens of thousands steadily won by educated Americans across the country for more than nine years now-- follows his similar victories with the feds last October. See the whole story, with documentation, here.

***

P.S. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MASSIVE AND FRUITFUL A BLOW would be struck for liberty and the rule of law-- for the intended restraint of the State by the Constitution-- if sites like lewrockwell.com, the fff.org, antiwar.com, prisonplanet.com and rutherford.org and folks like Glenn Greenwald, John Stossel, Andrew Napolitano and others with bully pulpits posted this story? Or any of the hundreds of other stories like it on this site? Can you imagine?

This country would be in unquenchable transformation within two weeks. Millions of Americans would suddenly know what Mike Long knows. Millions of Americans would suddenly know they can act-- all on their own-- to restore the republic and shrink Leviathan back down to the size and functions intended by the founders. Millions of Americans would LEAP at that opportunity.

The house of cards would collapse, just like that.

So, why don't they? That is, why don't these virtuous sites and these good-hearted pundits post this story?

The answer is, I think, simple: the folks who make decisions at these sites, and these pundits themselves, DON'T EVER ACTUALLY READ THESE POSTS!

These folks see a story like Mike's and they just automatically dismiss it as an anomaly, or a misrepresentation of the facts, or anything that allows its contradiction of all they have been conditioned to believe about the tax to be reconciled in favor of those conditioned beliefs. They let the paradigm of that conditioning subsume contrary information, just like most folks are prone to do, and don't read (or dig into) the story, having automatically, from the beginning, dismissed it as a waste of time.

At best, these folks will refer stories like this to some imagined expert-- a columnist who writes on tax-related stuff, or perhaps an attorney. That person, ALSO won't read the story, or at least, won't look further than the post itself.

That designated investigator ALSO won't see the years and years of consistent history of which Mike's victory is only the latest story. That investigator won't see the years and years of increasingly corrupt and desperate government efforts to suppress CtC even while acknowledging its accuracy with these endless victories, nor will he or she see any of the rest of the mountain of evidence of every possible variety standing behind each of these posts.

Nonetheless, that designated investigator will report that there's nothing to see here. He or she will report that it's just "Schiff" stuff; or some kind of a scam; or anything but what an actual investigation would reveal it to be. After all, such an actual investigation would take time and effort, and why bother?

'Cause, you know, how could it be true?! Everybody knows the tax is on everything-- just like everybody knows Lee Harvey Oswald killed Jack Kennedy acting as a lone nut-job with a magic bullet, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor caught the Roosevelt administration by surprise, and they hate us for our freedoms.

The sad fact is, as Mark Twain observed, “It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.” The state has been doing a whole lot of fooling for a long, long time, and these good folks, as perceptive as they are on many fronts, simply won't even consider the possibility that they've been fooled about the legal nature of the tax. They find it easier to dismiss the evidence of their own eyes than to entertain the notion that everything they "know" about this subject is wrong.

IT'S SUCH A SHAME. As another sage from Twain's era (Uncle Remus) wisely observed, "It ain't what ya don't know that hurts ya. What really puts a hurtin' on ya is what ya knows for sure, that just ain't so."

Here, the hurtin' is really big. Every day that this story-of-the-century-- this opportunity of the century-- goes unreported and uncapitalized-upon is another day in which the state gets bigger and more dangerous when it could be getting smaller and less dangerous, and another day in which the people as a whole get weaker when they could be getting stronger.

Further, every day that this story goes unreported is another day in which good Americans like Mike, who are actually on the front line enforcing the supremacy of our law over an increasingly lawless state like proper Americans, are shamefully left by their brethren to do so unremarked and uncelebrated-- even as they defend the rights of the very pundits who scorn to notice them.

It's such a shame.

“There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root.”
‑Henry David Thoreau

“The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people.”

‑Louis Brandeis

"So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent, and will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men."

– Voltarine de Cleyre

A Much-Needed Twenty-Eighth Amendment To The United States Constitution

HERE'S THE TEXT OF THE AMENDMENT I'M PROPOSING:

"The power of Congress to regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian tribes shall be exercised solely for the purpose and to the effect of ensuring that such commerce is unhindered and unburdened by any restrictions, prohibitions or charges imposed from any quarter or by any authority, other than such tariffs on foreign imports as are elsewhere provided for herein."

The purpose of this amendment is to end the pernicious resort to a misconstruction of the Commerce Clause by Congress and the executive as a pretext for the assumption of vast and never-authorized liberty-destroying powers, such as drug prohibition, abusive “wetlands” regulations, "gun-control" measures and much else. The Commerce Clause was never actually a grant of such powers.

Thomas Jefferson, discussing a proposal to create a national bank, expressed the nature of the authority granted by the commerce clause this way:

"...if this was [alleged to be] an exercise of the power of regulating commerce, it would be void, as extending as much to the internal commerce of every State, as to its external. For the power given to Congress by the Constitution does not extend to the internal regulation of the commerce of a State, (that is to say of the commerce between citizen and citizen,) which remain exclusively with its own legislature; but to its external commerce only, that is to say, its commerce with another State, or with foreign nations, or with the Indian tribes."

According to James Madison, the chief architect of the Constitution, the purpose of the clause is "the relief of the States which import and export through other States, from the improper contributions levied on them by the latter"-- in other words, preventing one State from taxing goods passing through it into another.

This amendment will simply restore the Commerce Clause to its proper and intended scope—preventing the several states from interfering with the passage of goods and services across their borders to or from the hands of their citizens and residents.

PLEASE COPY THE TEXT ABOVE and send it to your US congresscritters (rep and senators). As much as it might be easier to get this pushed forward by the states, the only method by that avenue calls for a Constitutional Convention, not the proposing of a single amendment. The latter is what we want (and we DON'T want the former). Have them tell you what they do toward this purpose, and then you tell me, so I can coordinate their effort with others and push for support nationwide.

Illuminating anniversaries of this week:

March 30- In 1842, anesthesia is used for the first time in a surgical operation.  In 1858, a pencil with an attached eraser is patented.  In 1867, the United States buys Alaska from Russia for 2 cents per acre.  (Of course, 2 cents was worth a good deal more then than it is now...)   In 1909, the Queensboro Bridge between Manhattan and Queens opens for traffic.  In 1939, the Heinkel HE 100 sets a world airspeed record of 463 mph.  In 1981, Ronald Reagan is shot by John Hinkley.

Real Americans don't accommodate fog, lies and a sliding scale of adherence to the rule of law. Real American men and women stand up for the truth and the law, come what may, knowing that it is only by setting the bar at the top and enforcing it, come what may, that liberties are secured.

"Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated."

If You're Not Standing Up, Then You're Standing Down

..and "standing down" means "going down"

MY FRIENDS, IT IS MY SINCERE BELIEF that this community of activists has been encouraged, inspired, enlightened and expanded over the years by the steady posting here of your ongoing victories on behalf of the rule of law. Certainly, it has been my pride and my joy to help you share with the world your honorable testament to the liberating truth about the tax, widespread knowledge of which is so critical to the well-being of ourselves, our children, and our beloved America.

However, unless YOU send those victories I can't post them. Unless YOU stand up, your courage and commitment can't inspire anyone.

YOU WILL RECALL THAT FOR THE LAST YEAR OR SO I've been telling you that we are in a transformational moment. Look around at what is going on today and recognize the truth of what I say.

More than half the American population views the state as a threat. As mainstream a publication as Forbes magazine is posting articles about massive DHS ammunition and armored vehicle purchases.

The LA Times, NY Times, Washington Times and other mainstream organs are editorializing about Leviathan having grown too big, and gotten dangerously out-of-hand (see stories at each of the preceding links). Rand Paul's filibuster denouncing the lawlessness of Mordor-on-the-Potomac has prompted a major buzz across the country.

Concurrently, this CtC community has been winning legal victories and refunds which are ever-more significant and telling. Consider, for instance, the half-dozen victories won during the last twelve months which qualified for the EWWBL collection (starting with episode 39). Every one of these is an especially illuminating acknowledgement of the truth about the tax, and included in this handful is a very significant two-time victory in a federal district court.

Things are happening!

HOW IT ALL SHAKES OUT is still up for grabs, though. This is not the time for either complacency or paralysis, because both of those don't amount to "doing nothing"-- instead they amount to "standing down". And standing down means conceding the fight, letting all these eleventh-hour sparks of light burn out unnurtured and the moment be a transformation for the worse.

This is not the time for standing down. This is the time for a FULL-COURT PRESS.

This is the time for educated American grown-ups to stand up tall and firm, pulling others to their feet by their very gravity. This is the time for leading the way.

STAND UP! SEND THOSE VICTORIES-- the new ones, and those of the last few years as well. Click here to learn how. Even if you don't have checks to scan, send your testimonials. Learn how to do that here.

Tens of thousands of readers of 'Cracking the Code- The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America' have taken control of their own resources, in accordance with, and respect for, the law. The likely total amount reclaimed by these good Americans so far is upward of several billion dollars.

A few of these good American men and women are generous enough to share their victories in upholding the law, for the edification and inspiration of everyone. At the moment the shared refund checks, closing notices, and so forth total

DON'T YOU NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH, TOO??!!

Do you have a victory to share?  Click here to learn how to do so.

March 31- In 1774, Great Britain orders the port of Boston closed in response to the Boston Tea Party.  In 1889, the Eiffel Tower is inaugurated.  In 1917, the United States buys the Danish West Indies for $25 million and renames them the United States Virgin Islands.  In 1918, Daylight Saving Time debuts.  In 1933, the FDR's Civilian Conservation Corps boondoggle is established as a measure to relieve unemployment brought about by the Fed-generated economic collapse known as the Great Depression.  It fails miserably.  Programs of this very sort interfered with the economic correction necessary to end the depression and merely prolonged the calamity, leaving the unemployment rate largely unchanged (it remained as high as 15% in 1937 while the boondoggle make-work jobs continued, and jumped back up to 19% in 1938 when some of the artificial "New Deal" props like the CCC program were cut back), but adding greatly to the size and lawlessness of the State.  In 1951, the first UNIVAC 1 is delivered to the United States Census Bureau.  In 1968, President Lyndon Johnson announces that he will not run for re-election.

THIS WEEK'S RECOMMENDED READING:

Goading Gullible America Into War

by Patrick J. Buchanan

As President Obama departed for Israel, there came a startling report. Bashar Assad’s regime had used poison gas on Syrian rebels.

Two Israeli Cabinet members claimed credible evidence. Justice Minister Tzipi Livni said, “It’s clear for us that (gas is) being used. … This … should be on the table in the discussions.”

Yet, 72 hours later, the United States still cannot confirm that gas was used, and Syria and Russia have called on U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to investigate whether it was used, and if so, by whom.

What’s going on here?

It does not require Inspector Clouseau to surmise this may be a fabrication to stampede the ever-gullible Americans into plunging into Syria to win the war for the al-Qaida-saturated Syrian rebels

But sucking America into Syria’s civil war is only a near-term goal for the War Party, which is after larger game — greasing the skids for a U.S. war on Iran.

Aren't you glad that YOU'VE taken control of how much of YOUR WEALTH facilitates Washington's misbehavior?!

Even as ardent a statist as Abraham Lincoln, in announcing his willingness to burn the Southern states to the ground in order to keep them paying the tariff for the benefit of Northern interests in his first inaugural address on March 4, 1861, paid at least lip service to the Founders design of leaving control over the fuel available to feed the fires Washington wants to light in the hands of the individual citizenry when he said, "Doing this I deem to be only a simple duty on my part; and I shall perform it, unless my rightful masters, the American people, shall withhold the requisite means..."

Amanda Knox Has Nothing To Worry About

AMANDA KNOX NOW FACES A SECOND TRIAL IN ITALY on charges of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Italy in 2007, after her acquittal on appeal from her initial conviction was overturned earlier this week. However, Knox is already back in the states, so no matter what happens in the new trial, she's home free.

After all, the Italian government has an established a policy of blowing off extradition requests against Americans-- even those of its own courts-- despite the longstanding extradition treaty between the two countries. This policy first appeared when Italian courts sought extradition of 21 CIA agents charged with kidnapping a man off a Milan street in 2003 and bundling him off to the torture-chambers of then-Egyptian dictator and US puppet Hosni Mubarak for the better part of the next four years before his release without ever having been charged with any crime.

Although the CIA agents were formally charged in 2005, with arrest warrants issued and extradition requests made by the prosecutor; and even though all were subsequently convicted, and the convictions upheld on appeal by Italy's highest court; the Italian government has yet to send the extradition requests for these felons to the United States-- perhaps because the United States has said it will ignore such requests anyway. This has to seriously gall the high-ranking Italian intelligence officials who were also convicted for their roles in the same crime and are now cooling their heels in prison, but its a great precedent for Ms. Knox.

The IRS Spends Thousands Producing A Video Your Average Middle-Schooler Would Be Ashamed To Call His Own

If you've ever wondered about just what kind people you're dealing with at the IRS-- by which I mean talent, competence, brainpower and character-- watch this video and wonder no more. The accompanying story will point out that not only was this grade D embarrassment paid for with a lot of money extracted by cunning or threats of violence from other people's pockets, but it was actually made and used to open an agency "training and leadership" conference-- that is, not as a lark by a bunch of these folks finding themselves with too much money and time on their hands, but as an assignment for a serious purpose.

We're all familiar with the scornful expression, "Close enough for government work". This gives that saying a new depth of meaning, in my view.

Where Is Clark Kent When You Need Him?

"It is not the function of our Government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error."

The Logical Proof for Individual Liberty

by CtC Warrior Mike Chavez

  •     The primary law that naturally governs the behavior of all individuals in all societies is: do not harm another.

  •     Society is an association of individuals where one exchanges or combines one’s resources with another in order to fulfill each one’s desires.

  •     All behavior that directly and proximately harms another is naturally forbidden by society.

  •     All behavior that does not directly and proximately harm another is naturally permitted by society.

  •     The only moral use of violence is to defend against those who initiate harm against another.

Therefore:

The rightful liberty of the individual is unobstructed action according to the individual’s will...limited only by directly and proximately harming another.

  •     Thought, inspiration and innovation comes only to the individual.

  •     The individual is the only means by which unseen potential can be made real; by which the unmanifest can be made manifest.

  •     Totally unique in one’s ability to take in, prioritize and process information, each individual is irreplaceable.

  •     The individual is responsible for his actions because it is his will alone that animates him.

  •     Groups are composed of individuals in communication with one another, each building upon one another’s individual attainments.

  •     A voluntary society is one where every association and exchange occurs on a voluntary basis.

  •     Once an individual is stolen from, killed, repressed or otherwise silenced, his contribution through exchange and charity is lost, and a precedent is set for other individuals to also be harmed.

While the individual has this critical importance, he is only one, making him easy prey for organized and many times institutionalized robbers and slavers to steal his essence.

The one attribute which distinguishes government from any individual or organization found in society is that government asserts the power to harm with impunity. It is sustained by the belief that this power is legitimate and beneficial.

  •    Governmental power is the undelegated power to harm others with impunity.

  •    Government is not exercising delegated authority when it harms individuals who are not harming others, because no individual which composes society or government possesses such authority.

  •     Governmental power is not derived from consent because any power derived from consent is extinguished when consent is withdrawn.

  •     Government is the prevailing militant entity that occupies society in order to control and extract society’s wealth.

  •     Government confiscates property from unwilling individuals and is not obligated to provide any services in return.

  •     Government is not law, services, or infrastructure. Government merely pays for these things with confiscated wealth in order to garner dependence, obedience, and loyalty.

  •     Governments compete and cooperate with each other for resources, and they consider societies to be a resource.

  •     Government charters corporations and clothes them with limited liability protection (which is a degree of the government’s ability to harm with impunity.)

  •     Government argues the free market is too strict and therefore it must shield companies from liability and legalize harm so the economy can operate smoothly and innovations can be brought to society.

  •     Licensing and regulations are designed to increase the market share for those who can/will comply by harming those who are unable/unwilling to comply (both buyer and seller).

  •     When a capitalist uses government power he ceases to be a capitalist and becomes either a fascist or a communist.

A Free Society Has The Strictest Regulations Because All Who Initiate Harm Are Fully Liable.

  •     A free people do not have a group of rulers; they have a judicial system which they may use to settle disputes in an orderly and civilized manner.

  •     Your opinion of the above facts, determines your place on the political spectrum.

It is my opinion that we, as individuals, have an interest in forever limiting the harm all organizations may cause.

The most practical solution is to zero out the demand for governmental power by innovating real-world alternatives.

The least practical solution is to restrict all governments by constitution to the primary law:

1. All individuals and groups including all branches of all governments are forever forbidden from initiating violence or otherwise harming another by any means.

2. The only moral and lawful use of violence is to defend against individuals, groups and governments who violate the above.

3. There are no exceptions to one and two.

Illuminating anniversaries of this week:

April 4- In 1581, Francis Drake completes a trip around the world and becomes SIR Francis Drake.  In 1818, the US Congress adopts the Flag of the United States-- 13 red and white stripes and (then) 20 stars.  In 1841, President William Henry Harrison dies of pneumonia after only 32 days in office.  In 1949, NATO comes into being.  In 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. is assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee.  In 1973, the World Trade Center is dedicated.  In 1975, Microsoft is founded.    In 2008 543 women and children are kidnapped from their communal home in rural Texas by an armed gang operating under the auspices of state authority purportedly in response to sincere concerns for the well-being of the children after an anonymous complaint of child abuse.  This was later found to have been a bogus pretext by both a Texas Court of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court.  It is virtually certain that the real reason for the concocted raid was bureaucratic and political antipathy toward the religious views of the 700 or so residents of the community, who, as fundamentalist Mormons are outside the "mainstream" and thus fair game for abuse in the minds of statists.  After two months imprisonment, the 401 children and 133 women were turned loose.  All in all, the abusive assault cost the citizens of Texas at least $14 million, as well as a good deal of self-respect.  The costs borne by the victims are impossible to calculate.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

-Samuel Adams, Architect of the First American Revolution

About The Author

Pete Hendrickson enjoys the distinction of being the first American in history to secure a complete refund of Social Security and Medicare ‘contributions’ withheld from his earnings (along with all other property taken for federal taxes).  He is far from the last, though-- readers of his seminal work, ‘Cracking the Code- The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America’  and its just-published sequel, 'Was Grandpa Really a Moron?', have been doing the same ever since the book first appeared in 2003.

Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on matters of politics, public policy and law; many of these works are collected in his second book, ‘Upholding the Law And Other Observations’.  He is a member of Mensa; an award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth soccer coach.  He is a long-time political activist as well, and has served as co-chair and platform convention delegate of Michigan’s largest county Libertarian Party organization; as a consultant to the National Right to Work Foundation and Citizens for a Sound Economy; as a member of the Heartland Institute; and as a member of the International Society for Individual Liberty.  He is a frequent radio-show guest on stations across the country.

Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design, manufacture and installation firm.

Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the twelve years before his present full-time focus on the restoration of the rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed purchasing activities for the $84 million-a-year multi-family-housing division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan branch of Edward Rose and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+ apartments, direct supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and incidental authority over several hundred divisional workers.  He also ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and distribution systems in four states, and designed and administered the company's website.

On rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst these more mundane pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the primary creative force behind a small board- and card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several years.

Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan, with his wife and two children.  He is currently working on his next book.
