My Friends, Once Again I Ask: What Am I Doing Wrong?

The pundits say one thing, and do another-- I must be doing something wrong, and it's really starting to matter now...

IN A RECENT ARTICLE ENTITLED 'Government of the Rich, by the Rich and for the Rich: It’s Time for ‘Militant Nonviolent Resistance’', John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute says this:

"The balance of power that was once a hallmark of our republic no longer exists. James Madison’s warning that “the accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elected, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny” has, regrettably come to pass.

Clearly, it’s time for a mass movement dedicated to change through “militant nonviolence.” If not, the shadow of tyranny that now hangs over us will eventually destroy every last semblance of freedom."

Justin Raimondo of AntiWar.com says we're in 'The Fight of Our Lives', declaring,

"It’s zero hour in America. Where is the leadership that will rise to the challenge? Who will take on the tyranny coalescing and solidifying even as I write? Rand Paul’s class action lawsuit against the NSA is a step in the right direction, but it’s going to take more than lawyers to beat the NSA and restore our old republic. Some days I’m optimistic, other days – not so much. Whatever happens, of one thing we can be sure: we’re in the fight of our lives."

Andrew Napolitano, in 'Spying On Congress', warns,

"The lawlessness continues. The president’s NSA spies remain out of control. They are spying on Congress and the courts; the military and the press; the CIA and other spies; friends, foes and the Pope. If we fail to stop this soon, the next generation of Americans will not even know what privacy is."

Jacob Hornberger writes a post titled, 'Master and Servant', explaining that,

"The original idea was that the American citizens were to be the masters and federal employees were to be the servants. How do we know that that was supposed to be the case? Because don’t forget — it was the citizenry who called the federal government into existence, not the other way around. Moreover, the document that called the federal government into existence, the Constitution, established what the federal government could and could not do, a principle that was reinforced by the Bill of Rights.

That’s what masters do — they hire the servants and then tell them what they can and cannot do, and servants are expected to obey.

Thus, a necessary prerequisite for restoring freedom and privacy to our land involves, at the very least,  a fundamental change in mindset, one that recognizes that federal officials are the servants and that we, the citizenry, are the masters."

Chris Hedges, in the essay that is this week's 'Recommended Reading' on this page, thunders,

"This is our last gasp as a democracy. The state’s wholesale intrusion into our lives and obliteration of privacy are now facts. And the challenge to us—one of the final ones, I suspect—is to rise up in outrage and halt this seizure of our rights to liberty and free expression. If we do not do so we will see ourselves become a nation of captives."

Every one of these folks, like so many others throughout the land, warns us with increasing stridency about the dire threat now looming. And they're right to do so. It IS the eleventh hour.

 And yet which of these voices spends one single pixel sharing with others knowledge of our community of "don't just talk about it, but actually DO something about it" activists? Which of these clear-seeing, anxious pundits spends a single pixel alerting their readers that THIS community, unlike any other, acts both in 100% accordance with the law, and with the Founders' very specific plan for dealing with precisely America's present situation of an otherwise out-of-control, unhindered-by-the-political-process 800-lb.-gorilla-of-a-state? Not one of them.

These pundits ring the alarm bell, calling for "a mass movement" (Whitehead), "leadership that will rise to the challenge" (Raimondo), "[someone who will] stop this soon" (Napolitano), "a fundamental change in mindset" (Hornberger) and "[a] ris[ing] up in outrage [to] halt this seizure of our rights" (Hedges). But not one of them are shouting out afterward, "Here's where you go to join and lend your strength and weight to those doing these critically-important things", followed by a link to the arsenal of activism and liberty posted here, from which anyone and everyone can grab the only kind of musket that can still save our liberty without violence.

Do these folks actually think there is a "political" solution after watching THIS unfold: 

REALLY? We're supposed to rely upon, or devote all our effort toward, merely a political solution?

It is madness to harbor such a thought. Certainly things are changing, and more Americans are awakening to their peril. But all they know is the peril.

 These folks are alarmed, and that's good and important. But they have no notion of what to do, because the ones ringing the alarm bells won't send those awakened and properly concerned Americans here, where they will find the only REAL solution upon which we can rely-- the solution prepared for us in anticipation of exactly our current circumstances.

The Founders knew better than to ever rely on politics. Even if someone arises who looks like our political messiah, there can be no knowing that man or woman's true character, or true understanding. As Jefferson said, summing up the Founders' wisdom: "In questions of power then, let no more be heard of confidence in man but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." In fact, reliance on, or efforts toward, a "political solution" are more likely to bring on a very bad thing than otherwise.

Instead, the Founders invoked Adam's Smith's insight that people empowered and active in looking out for their own individual interests are the only sure guardians of liberty, and the only sure restraint on the state. Sure, we can hope for, and seek to identify and elevate statesmen, but only as a sidetrack effort to our ongoing and much more important individual exercise of control over how much fuel the state has for its fire, ensuring that it never has enough with which to burn America down, as it now threatens to do.

So, here's the thing. I'm not really asking what I'm doing wrong, because I'm NOT doing anything wrong. But the pundits are-- "alt" media as much as MSM-- and I can't get through to them on my own.

 I've asked you all before to help me penetrate the blinders these folks wear, and the ivory towers in which they live. I ask you again. Tell these folks that they will lose YOU as readers if they don't start recognizing your educated and courageous activism, and your scholarly and authoritative message, and the dire and immediate need for lots more of both in America.

It IS the eleventh hour, and we ought to be WAY past having to snarkily ask, "How's that "political" thing working for you?"

It's been well said that a working definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Indeed.

For 150 years, Americans exercised the knowledge laid out here, and we were safe, prosperous and free. We KNOW that works. For 70 years now, we have abandoned that wisdom and relied instead on "political solutions", and we are now on the verge of a police state lockdown, while simultaneously having become bankrupt, both personally and as a nation (except for those in the political class and their clients and cronies).

Let's stop being insane. Help me tell every friend of liberty to STOP BEING INSANE and to stop overlooking or deliberately looking away from the liberating truth. We can't afford much more delay in getting this done.
