someone who finds it easier to believe that the far-better-educated,
far-more-suspicious-of-government Americans of a hundred years ago were
complete morons who granted authority to the state to take whatever it
wished from themselves and their posterity than to imagine that they
themselves simply misunderstand the true nature of the income tax? Even
while knowing that their beliefs about the tax are derived entirely from
the representations of those who profit from those beliefs (like tax
bureaucrats and "tax professionals")?

don't understand the past...
Illuminating anniversaries of this week:
May 9- In 1941, the
British navy captures a German submarine containing an 'Enigma'
cryptography machine, allowing the Allies to decrypt coded
German messages. In 1945, Vidkun Quisling, who had been
installed as Premier of Norway after the country had been
invaded and occupied by Germany, is arrested. He would later be
executed for treason. In 1960, the US Food and Drug
Administration approves the first oral contraceptive. In 1970,
between 75,000 and 100,000 Americans gather in front of the
White House protesting the war in Vietnam. In 1974, formal
impeachment proceedings against Richard Nixon for offenses
stemming from a warrantless surveillance scheme begin in the
House of Representatives. In 2004, Chechen president Akhmad
Kadyrov is assassinated during a World War II memorial parade.

The Spirit

Dear Pete,
I have some great experiences I would like
to share with you, as well as let you post them where
you would like on your website.
I wrote you about two months ago when my
fiancé and I were trying to buy a house and studying the
best way to get around providing proof of “income” from
tax returns that had been requested to approve the loan.
Right before we started this process, I had filed
my
fiancé's return correctly, as well as sent in the
paperwork to request a refund of the taxes his company
had withheld during the past year. My fiancé had been in
the military, so we were getting a VA loan for our
house. I was a little concerned about this process, just
because it was the first time I'd done it and I didn't
know if being a government loan would mean we would get
harassed more. I wasn't sure I knew enough yet to be
able to fight it in this time-constrained deal.
I will never forget the day we walked into
the lending company and handed them the last three years
of tax returns they'd requested. This was the first year
I'd filed correctly for Jake. He showed “income” from
the year before on his returns he'd filed through H & R
Block, but nothing from the year previous, because he
was out of the military and going to school.
The look on the lender's face was priceless
when he saw 0 income. He laughed in my face when he saw
the amount of refund being requested. He quizzed me on
what I was doing. I informed him that the Federal Income
Tax doesn't apply to most earnings and this is why.
Perhaps I should have taken a gentler approach, because
I instantly became known as “One of those
non-taxpayers.” For the rest of the meeting, I endured
much ridicule and jokes. He even sent out an email to
all of his 50 something colleagues to see if anyone else
had ever encountered a “Non-Tax Payer” before and how to
handle it.
Towards the end of the meeting, he asked
his secretary to make copies of all the documents we
had. She'd over heard what was going on and when he
asked her opinion, she curtly responded, “I'll just keep
it to myself.” Once she got back with the papers and had
a chance to look at the return herself, she very rudely
told us, “I'm going to tell you right now, you're not
going to get this loan, unless you file and pay taxes
like every other American.” That really fired me up. I
was shaking from anger and couldn't wait to leave.
Instead, I simply informed them I would bring in our
seventeen thousand dollar refund check to show them once
we got it. Of course, they said it'd be years before
we'd see a cent, if any at all.
The lender had asked me to provide a
statement about why I did taxes this way and quote the
tax code that proved it was legal. I put together a
couple pages of quotes from Lost Horizons website, as
well as the tax code referencing who income tax is for
and the definitions of “employee” and “employer”. I also
included many Supreme Court rulings. A few days after
they'd received the documentation and read it, the
lender, loan officer and everyone else involved in
deciding if we would get the loan simply told us they
would proceed with the loan and just put on the
paperwork that we hadn't yet filed 2013's returns. The
rest of the process went very smoothly and as of April
7, 2014, we are happy home owners!
Now for the refund: Last Tuesday, I was out
running errands, when Jake sent me a text to see if I'd
be home soon. When I got home, he asked me to come into
his office, where he held up a check. All I saw was
Treasury all over it and panicked for a second that
they'd sent us a notice with a fine. Once my eyes
adjusted, I realized it was our refund of $17,241.00!
Even though I'd read and believe what Pete has
researched and written, there was still an overwhelming
feeling of amazement when that check did arrive. I
thought for sure the IRS would send a rebuttal before
simply agreeing to pay the refund. We even received the
refund within six weeks of filing!
When Jake took the check to the bank, the
teller's eyes got wide and he said, “Wow, that's a
substantial refund check, if you don't mind me saying.”
Jake replied that he didn't. The teller then asked how
he did it. Jake's response was excellent, “That's what
happens when your fiancé studies the tax code for fun.”
I want to give Pete a huge thank-you for
all the time, effort and research that has gone into his
work to allow others to easily come to the truth with
taxes. I still have much to learn, but it is something I
enjoy and will continue to inform others. This
experience was a huge learning curve as well as a boost
in confidence to know I can do this!

The Other Kind Of Story...

On last Tuesday’s (4/29) weekly
presentation by Tony Davis at Freedom’s Radio, he made
some comments about CtC, claiming that the IRS is
targeting individuals who are filing returns using CtC
guidelines.
Do you know anything about this?

D,
Everyone out there flogging their own pet theories
about the tax, or trying to sell "tax-related services" (even
from a purported "freedom" perspective) makes such
claims. They are also made by both outright government trolls
and the surreptitious variety that pretend to be just "good
neighbors" posting for the benefit of others, in order to help
"keep them out of trouble" (which often includes so-called "tax
professionals").
The object is to keep more Americans from learning
the truth about the tax. This object is pursued either for the
benefit of the ignorance-exploiting state, or to make pet
theories or services
more marketable.
Sadly (or shamefully) many of the parties
responsible for these odious fright-balloons convincingly
present themselves as honest, diligent, hard-working and
informed seekers of the truth. Many present themselves as
dedicated participants in some more-or-less virtuous "movement",
the so-called "tax honesty movement" included.
Such folks are either honest and ill-informed, or
not honest, however sincere they may sound.
After all, why would anyone with an honest agenda of advancing
liberty-- and who had any idea of what he or she was talking
about-- say anything that might discourage Americans from
exercising their rights, which is all that
CtC is about.
Distilled down to its essence, all
CtC does is
remind people that they have a right to introduce their own
testimony about tax-related matters into the record, must do so
whenever they are signing a form and taking responsibility for
its contents and must do so honestly and accurately.
CtC also
reminds people that they are entitled to have the tax applied as
actually provided-for by law.
Certainly, the book also shows people what Congress
has provided as the means to do these things. It explains why
the Founders and Framers structured things to ensure that
Americans would always be able to exercise these rights and
thereby successfully restrain the state (the wisdom of which we
can see plainly now, after a 75-year interruption in that
exercise).
CtC also discusses the fact that the state will
scream, howl and try to discourage people from the exercise of
their rights-- 'cause it doesn't WANT to be restrained... Maybe
I should have included a chapter on how
trolls and their droppings will be deployed or exploited as
part of that discouragement effort.
It's a pity that everyone didn't read
this article last week. (Sadly, every American doesn't read
the Lost Horizons News. If they did-- or even if just a
significant fraction did-- the unrestrained state and all its
pathologies and peril would be a thing of the past already.) Had
Mr. Davis done so, it might have affected his choice of words
and the direction of his comments.
Further, if Mr. Davis had been paying attention
over for the duration, he would know that the
scare-balloons he's floating have been polluting the atmosphere
for the entire ten-and-a-half years since
CtC first went to
print.
These scare-balloons have been polluting the
atmosphere from before the first complete refund was secured
pursuant to
CtC's teachings (after some initial IRS resistance,
by the way) all the way to when yesterday's last complete refund
of the day--
which may well be the two-hundred-thousandth or
more-- hit a mailbox somewhere in the real land of the free and
home of the brave, which is anywhere a
CtC Warrior lives.
These scare-balloons, intended to discourage
Americans from exercising their rights so the state can do
whatever its operators and beneficiaries want, will still
pollute the atmosphere after the two millionth complete refund
has been issued, the scam has collapsed, and the shrunken state
is at the drawing board trying to get it going again like back
in the 1930s. Corruption and lust for unrestrained power, like
rust, never sleep.
But they'll still just be scare-balloons. They'll
still just be efforts to exploit the fact that many of those
exposed to them won't know the truth about what
CtC actually
teaches or how its revelations have been being borne out with
ever-growing inescapability to anyone who looks, rather than
just listens to the trolls and imagines they know what they are
talking about and are telling the truth.
Those folks who don't already know the truth WON'T
look, of course. They don't know enough to doubt the Tony
Davis's of the world-- which is what is being counted-on.

for the truth about these claims. They're long pages, and with
more than a few links, but please spend the time. Equipping
yourself to slap down nonsense like that is important, because
it is exactly that nonsense that is keeping the truth about the
tax from sweeping the country, and IT FALLS TO YOU TO BE THE
COUNTER-MEASURE (and I mean ALL of you reading this, not just my
correspondent in this exchange).

P. S. Even if they WEREN'T just "scare-balloons",
what would that matter? These discouraging trolleries would
STILL need to be denounced and corrected. As a wise and brave
soul once pointed out in response to reports of Americans being
assaulted by the government for exercising their rights not all
that long ago:

It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the
matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace-- but there is
no peace. The war is actually begun!
The next gale that sweeps from the north
will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our
brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here
idle?
What is it that gentlemen wish? What would
they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be
purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it,
Almighty God!
I know not what course others may take; but
as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

A teacher asked
her 6th grade class how many of them were fans of Big Government.
Not really knowing what a Big Government fan is, but wanting to be liked by
the
teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little TJ.
The teacher asked Little TJ why he has decided to be different...again.
Little TJ said, "Because I'm not a fan of Big Government."
The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a fan of Big Government?"
Little TJ said, "Because I'm a libertarian."
The teacher asked him why he's a libertarian. Little TJ answered, "Well,
my Dad's a libertarian and my Mom's a libertarian, so I'm a libertarian."

Illuminating anniversaries of this week:
May 10- In 1768, John
Wilkes is imprisoned for writing an article critical of King
George III. The arrest prompts a riot by his supporters. In
1775, the Second Continental Congress convenes in Philadelphia.
In 1801, the Barbary Pirates of Tripoli declare war on the
United States of America after newly-inaugurated President
Thomas Jefferson decided to stop paying them the tribute they
had been receiving from previous administrations. In 1869, the
Lincoln administration's transcontinental railroad is completed
when the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroad lines meet
in Promontory Summit, Utah. The Union Pacific organization had
built west from Council Bluffs, Iowa (a spot which was, at the
time of selection, 150 miles from the nearest existing rail
line, but which offered Lincoln personal political and financial
benefits); Central had built east from Sacramento. Both rail
lines were heavily subsidized with land grants and were made
subject to permanent significant federal control, as were a
number of other smaller lines contracted to construct feeders
from major terminal cities along the way. In 1994, Nelson
Mandela is inaugurated as president of South Africa after
spending 27 years in prison for "crimes against the state",
which included a campaign of sabotage against military and
civilian government targets, and the making of plans for a
guerilla war against the government. In 2012, terrorists
supported by the United States detonated two suicide car bombs
outside government buildings in Damascus, Syria, killing 55 and
injuring 400. Some voices challenge that assignment of
responsibility, claiming that the Assad regime carried out the
bombings itself as a false-flag operation designed to justify
the regime's past and future actions. But everyone knows THAT
kind of thing never happens, right?

adherence to the rule of law. Real American men and women stand up for the
truth and the law, come what may, knowing that it is only by setting the bar
at the top and enforcing it, come what may, that liberties are secured.

Government's Second Bite At Doreen
Many of you will find these of

SOME OF YOU WILL HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE FACT
THAT MY ATTENTION WAS OCCUPIED over the last few weeks,
resulting in my neglect of some emails. I apologize, but
writing the motions, responses and replies posted below had to take precedence.
Many of you will find these motions and
supporting arguments to be of interest for various reasons.
You will also find it interesting (and more than a little
disgusting) that the government
attorneys actually oppose the motion to have Doreen's
cousin, who was too sick to testify in the first trial, and
who suffers from debilitating, liver failure from which she
could literally die any day without warning, deposed in
order to preserve her testimony.
ANOTHER INTERESTING THING IS THE GOVERNMENT
ATTORNEYS' "counter-motion" filed on a hurry-up basis three
days after Doreen's motions were filed. This came right after reading our
motion seeking to have US attorneys barred from cell-phone
possession in the re-trial due to their egregious abuse of
the privilege previously. The counter-motion asks for
official permission for the government to use lap-tops in
the courtroom instead... Here is

Odessa: Ukraine's Waco

The murder of at least 38 people in the city of Odessa in the midst
of Kiev’s "anti-terrorist" offensive last Friday revealed the true
face of the fascist regime that has seized power in Kiev – and the
Western media is doing everything it can to cover up the truth.
Most "mainstream" accounts of what happened there are filled with
ambiguity: it’s "not clear" who’s responsible, they say. Everybody
was supposedly throwing Molotov cocktails and so who’s to say who
started which conflagration? And yet the truth is getting out there.
The Washington Post reported on Saturday that "police said at least
31 people were dead after pro-Kiev demonstrators hurled Molotov
cocktails into a building where a pro-Russia contingent was holding
out." The piece cites tweets from Howard Amos, a Guardian reporter
on the scene, noting that the fire broke out on the main floor of
the Trade Union building, where a pro-Kiev crowd had gathered and
was storming the building – and where, as USA Today noted,
"Witnesses and journalists reported that as the building burned with
people inside, a crowd shouted, ‘Glory to Ukraine!” and ‘Death to
enemies!’"
The USA Today headline read: "Fire Kills 31 in Odessa." But did the
fire kill them – or was it the people who set the fire? And let’s go
back to Howard Amos’ tweets to find out exactly who is fighting on
the front lines on the pro-Kiev side: why it’s Right Sector! They’re
leading the crowd, just as they did on Friday.
Right Sector is the violent neo-Nazi group that served as the Kiev
coup leaders’ shock troops as they took over Ukraine’s capital city
and drove Yanukovich and his supporters out. Their Fuehrer, Dymtro
Yorash, is a fascist ideologue who recently announced he was moving
the group’s headquarters to east Ukraine – the scene of recent
fighting between pro-coup and pro-Russian factions.
By all accounts, the local police – under Kiev’s command – did
nothing as the pro-Kiev crowd danced in the streets while the
building burned. It took the fire department an hour to get to the
scene.

members of the Knights Templar are burned at the stake as
heretics, having been tortured into confessions to this effect
by on the orders of King Philip IV of France, who was deeply in
debt to the order, and saw the charges as a way of eliminating

HAVE YOU EVER GIVEN ANY THOUGHT TO WHAT WOULD HAPPEN if
30 million other Americans-- or even just 3 million-- knew what you
know about the "income" tax?
Leviathan thinks about it-- a lot.

should, too.

SPEAKING OF THE INCOME TAX, it appears that even a connected and
invested statist like Donald Rumsfeld has one foot moving toward an
epiphany-bound path. He admits to not knowing the truth of what is
said on his "conventionally"-completed 1040:

Admitting to not knowing that what you're saying on a tax form is a
first step toward recognizing that what you're saying is wrong, and
thus to a moral imperative to do the research to discover what's
right, while eschewing all the assumptions you had relied upon
before (such as that your accountant or HR guy knows any better than
you do, or your mom or uncle Ernie, or whoever first told you what
to put on the form).
I'm pretty sure that Rumsfeld won't find his way to the truth, or
even make any effort to do so. I think his letter is just a way for
him to try to keep his name out there when there's no real good
reason for anyone to remember him (unless you're a member of a
war-crimes tribunal somewhere). But I'll admit that seeing this
prompted a smile, and hey! It gave me a little something for this
segment...

THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT continues to wobble
toward complete incoherence and the well-deserved contempt and
disregard of the American people. Having struggled to cut itself
loose from the Constitution over the last decade, the court drifts
in the political wind, only occasionally getting things right, and
generally doing far more harm than good. In the latest example of its
ever-more frequent mindless gyrations, on Monday the court ruled
(albeit, only 5-4) that town council meetings and other legislative
functions can Constitutionally be opened with outright sectarian prayers, because
doing so is a long-standing tradition. Where was this reasoning when prayer in public schools was
being ruled against? I am all for a solemnizing moment
before any official session of anything. I think it's important that
we remind ourselves often that whatever our understanding or doubts
about the nature of the thing, something other than our mere reason
or might inheres us with our rights. We can
reason our way to why they are rights, and must be, but I think
they are more secure in light of a recognition that come from a
force outside that of man or state, and we are responsible,
individually and in the aggregate, for respecting and defending
those gifts, however inconvenient holding them inviolable might be
to man or state. That said, such solemnization should be
nothing more than acknowledgement of that externality and
inviolability, with no sectarian tinge whatsoever. Maybe something like this
would be appropriate:

first to reflect upon the fact that we may do so only insofar as it
is within the limits of our own individual rights and the rights of
those other individuals who have delegated authority to us. We
reflect further upon the fact that the measure of those
limits cannot be that of our reason, contrivance or craft,
but must instead be the fact that every single human being--
the creation of a force external to us (just as we are)--
must be deemed to possess exactly the same rights, in every
respect, as ourselves and the members of the polity in whose
name we act." |
No thumpin', no rattlin', no chantin' and no offendin'-- just simple
respect and humility; both good things in a legislator, and all too
rare. Maybe we'll get this from the court in the next session... *****
THE LAST FEW WEEKS HAVE FEATURED A NOVEL DISTRACTION away from more
serious concerns in certain quarters: A debate on the nature and
merits of what are called "thick" and "thin" libertarianism.
In this debate "thin"
libertarianism is defined as considering the
non-aggression principle (NAP) as the sole defining characteristic
of libertarianism; while to be "thick" is to add a package of moral
or cultural judgments, such as that "disapproval of gay marriage is
bad". That is, to be a properly "thick" libertarian one must not
only oppose the use of force by the state, but also what is imagined
to be "cultural oppression" (though somehow the position that
"approval of gay marriage is bad" or other politically-incorrect
judgments would not fit the bill here, so we're only talking about
"cultural oppression" which runs in one direction).
I confess I am unable to see the point of this argument. As long as
so-called "thick" libertarians embrace the sacred NAP, their
cultural perspectives are completely irrelevant to their politics or
political and ethical philospohies. In keeping with the NAP, those
cultural perspectives are non-enforceable. Any effort to enforce
them would violate the NAP, and exclude the violator from
libertarianism of any description or label.
Maybe it's just me, but I think time and energy are being wasted
here. As long as the non-aggression principle is upheld, everything
else will work naturally. Let's keep our focus on making the NAP the
law of the land. Once we've done that (or have even just completed
our ongoing re-assertion of
the framers' NAP-based federal tax structure), we'll all be
prosperous and free enough to really afford the time to worry about
who's thick enough to be on our cocktail-party "A"-list.

I'VE BEEN MADE AWARE OF A "CROWD-SOURCE" ASSISTANCE REQUEST FROM A GENTLEMAN
with an axe to grind with the IRS and their "Tax Court". Though I'm
not intimately familiar with the record of this case or the
arguments made, Richard Walbaum seems to have a good basic issue to
battle out in the Circuit Court over the definition of a term
("non-employee compensation"). Richard's request for financial help
to overcome a hurdle in the way of his appeal can be found at

DO YOU KNOW WHY THE LIBERATING TRUTH ABOUT THE INCOME
TAX is spreading so slowly, and not being taken up and trumpeted by
the alt-media (at least)? Do you know why that truth is not a big
presence in public consciousness, supporting you in your
conversations on the subject with your friends, family, co-workers,
bosses and professional service-providers?
The reason is that very often when someone first hears
about that truth, the next thing he or she does is go to the
internet and "google"
CtC or me. What comes up in greatest number or most prominence
can strongly influence whether that person moves forward or
backward, and unfortunately, what often comes up most strongly are
DOJ and troll posts rich with disparaging and misleading propaganda
about either subject. The reason this is so is because YOU are not
posting contrary material rebutting the lies and misrepresentations.
If we are all going to get the benefit of this
liberating truth, I cannot be the only voice correcting the record
on the internet about "what the courts have REALLY ruled" in regard
to
CtC. I can't be the only one debunking
the efforts to disparage
CtC by misrepresentations of the
kangaroo-court assaults on me.
Whether the truth wins out here involves a battle of
pens, not swords. YOU HAVE TO BE IN THIS BATTLE, or it may not be
won for years. On the other hand, if you DO get into this battle and
get thoughtful posts up all over the internet designed to address
the specific problem I describe here, it can be won very quickly
indeed. Please do your part.

What Do The People Do About The Rogue State??
The
most important question facing Americans today
I HAD THIS QUESTION POSED TO ME BY AN EMAIL CORRESPONDENT the other
day. I guess this just shows how poor a job I've done at
communicating, because I have been trying to shout the answer to
this one from the rooftops for a long time.
That answer is simple: The People impose restraint on the rogue
state by choosing-- one by one-- to cease voluntarily turning
control over their resources to the state, and choosing instead to
retain control over those resources. This is done by refusing-- one
by one-- to engage in "income tax" excisable activities (and
refusing to blindly or fearfully allow their activities to be
treated or taken as excisable activities upon which the tax arises,
when they really are not).
The refusal of individual Americans to voluntarily engage in
excisable activities forces the state to resort to
highly-politically-accountable, highly-politically-vulnerable
alternatives revenue sources. These include options like direct,
apportioned taxes (which will not be tolerated by the people or
approved by Congress at $multi-trillion annual volumes), and/or
increased revenue tariffs (which can raise amounts adequate for
legitimate state needs, but are very self-regulating, since
consumers naturally choose domestic product alternatives when higher
tariffs raise the prices of imports beyond a certain point).
This solution is precisely the one intended and provided for by the
Founders-- who didn't impose the taxation rules in the US
Constitution just so they could admire their handwriting. They put
those rules in place in direct anticipation of state behavior of the
sort with which we are now plagued.
As even so odious a character as Hamilton pointed out in Federalist
#21:
“Imposts, excises, and, in general, all duties upon articles
of consumption, may be compared to a fluid, which will, in time,
find its level with the means of paying them. The amount to be
contributed by each citizen will in a degree be at his own
option, and can be regulated by an attention to his resources.
...If duties are too high, they lessen the consumption; the
collection is eluded; and the product to the treasury is not so
great as when they are confined within proper and moderate
bounds. This forms a complete barrier against any material
oppression of the citizens by taxes of this class, and is itself
a natural limitation of the power of imposing them.”
What we've got today is simply the direct (and perfectly
predictable) consequences of NOT adhering to the Founders' plan. As
Frederick Douglass trenchantly observed,
“Find out just what any people
will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the
injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them."
We've got plenty of injustice and wrong these days. But our fix to
the problem was bought for us with blood a few hundred years ago.
All we have to do is stop playing along with the rogue state's
false (and rather embarrassingly crude) paradigm concerning
who owns what, and what powers to tax have really been granted.
As soon as enough of us quit endorsing that nonsense,
it's all
good.

If You're Not Standing Up, Then You're Standing Down
...and "standing down" means "going down"...
MY FRIENDS, IT IS MY SINCERE BELIEF that this community of
activists has been encouraged, inspired, enlightened and
expanded over the years by the steady posting here of
your ongoing victories on behalf of the rule of law.
Certainly, it has been my pride and my joy to help you share
with the world your honorable testament to the liberating truth
about the tax, widespread knowledge of which is so critical to
the well-being of ourselves, our children, and our beloved
America.
However, unless YOU send those victories I can't post them.
Unless YOU stand up, your courage and commitment can't inspire
anyone.
YOU WILL RECALL THAT FOR THE LAST YEAR OR SO I've been telling
you that we are in a transformational moment. Look around at
what is going on today and recognize the truth of what I say.
More than half the American population views government as a
threat. As mainstream a publication as Forbes magazine is
posting
articles about massive DHS ammunition and armored vehicle
purchases. Denunciations of the NSA violations are features
in every major MSM organ.
Even before Edward Snowden's documentation of particular crimes
being committed against the American people the
LA Times,
NY Times,
Washington Times and other mainstream organs were
editorializing about Leviathan having grown too big, and gotten
dangerously out-of-hand (see stories at each of the preceding
links). In the Spring Rand Paul's filibuster denouncing the
lawlessness of Mordor-on-the-Potomac prompted a major buzz
across the country, and in July Justin Amash shocked Washington
by very nearly defunding a huge portion of the illegal
surveillance state's crimes.
Concurrently, this
CtC community has been winning legal victories and refunds
which are ever-more significant and telling. Consider, for
instance, the victories which have qualified for
the EWWBL collection. Every one of these is an especially
illuminating acknowledgement of the truth about the tax, and now
include a very significant two-time victory in a federal
district court.
Things are happening!
HOW IT ALL SHAKES OUT is still up for grabs, though. This is not
the time for either complacency or paralysis, because both of
those don't amount to "doing nothing"-- instead they amount to
"standing down". And standing down means conceding the fight,
letting all these eleventh-hour sparks of light burn out
unnurtured and the moment be a transformation for the worse.
This is not the time for standing down. This is the time for a
FULL-COURT PRESS.
This is the time for educated American grown-ups to stand up
tall and firm, pulling others to their feet by their very
gravity. This is the time for leading the way.

the torture of accused heretics in order to secure confessions

About The Author
Pete Hendrickson is possibly the
most effective lawyer in history, even while never having
set foot in a law school, nor ever being a card-carrying
member of "the bar". He is the first American in history to
secure a complete refund of Social Security and Medicare
‘contributions’ withheld from his earnings (along with all
other property taken for federal taxes); further, since 2003
students of his legal analyses and arguments in ‘Cracking
the Code- The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America’
(CtC), and its sequel, 'Was
Grandpa Really a Moron?' have been routinely
retaining and recovering billions of dollars which
otherwise-- wrongly, but as a matter of course-- would have
gone to federal or state government treasuries. This despite
concerted efforts by government to suppress his work,
and in some cases
vigorously oppose the claims by
his students.
Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on matters of
politics, public policy and law; many of these works are
collected in his second book, ‘Upholding
the Law And Other Observations’. He is a member of
Mensa; an
award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth
soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as
well, and has served as co-chair and platform convention
delegate of Michigan’s largest county Libertarian Party
organization; as a consultant to the National Right to Work
Foundation and Citizens for a Sound Economy; as a member of the
Heartland Institute; and as a member of the International
Society for Individual Liberty. He is a frequent
radio-show guest on stations across the country.
Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the twelve years
before his present full-time focus on the restoration of the
rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed purchasing
activities for the $84 million-a-year multi-family-housing
division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan branch of Edward Rose
and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+ apartments, direct
supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and incidental
authority over several hundred divisional workers. He also
ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On
rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst these more mundane
pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the primary creative
force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan, with his wife
and two children. He is currently working on his next
book.
