Illuminating anniversaries of this week:
May 10- In 1768, John Wilkes is imprisoned for
writing an article critical of King George III. The arrest
prompts a riot by his supporters. In 1775, the Second
Continental Congress convenes in Philadelphia. In 1801, the
Barbary Pirates of Tripoli declare war on the United States of
America after newly-inaugurated President Thomas Jefferson
decided to stop paying them the tribute they had been receiving
from previous administrations. In 1869, the Lincoln
administration's transcontinental railroad is completed when the
Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroad lines meet in
Promontory Summit, Utah. The Union Pacific organization had
built west from Council Bluffs, Iowa (a spot which was, at the
time of selection, 150 miles from the nearest existing rail
line, but which offered Lincoln personal political and financial
benefits); Central had built east from Sacramento. Both rail
lines were heavily subsidized with land grants and were made
subject to permanent significant federal control, as were a
number of other smaller lines contracted to construct feeders
from major terminal cities along the way. In 1994, Nelson
Mandela is inaugurated as president of South Africa after
spending 27 years in prison for "crimes against the state",
which included a campaign of sabotage against military and
civilian government targets, and the making of plans for a
guerilla war against the government. In 2012, terrorists
supported by the United States detonated two suicide car bombs
outside government buildings in Damascus, Syria, killing 55 and
injuring 400. Some voices challenge that assignment of
responsibility, claiming that the Assad regime carried out the
bombings itself as a false-flag operation designed to justify
the regime's past and future actions. But everyone knows THAT
kind of thing never happens, right?

Hello Pete,
I have decided to try to compile my story
with documentation for you to post. I think it's boring
but I wanted to share it. You do of course have posted
my initial CtC filing for 2010 filed on 4/15/11, the
CP2000 7/16/12 and response letter 8/13/12, and last but
not least the CP2005 9/4/12 stating I owed nothing and
that the case is closed.
I sat on my laurels for the next
couple years thinking they might leave me alone even
though I had a number of years left to be filed. In Aug
2013 they sent a 688-W to my place of work seeking back
taxes for the year 2002 which was now 11 years old and
filed the wrong way. I had prepared for this some years
ago after reading CtC as I knew this would be the last
battlefront I would find myself on that they could truly
hurt me on, but I was hoping it would not come to this.
I was wrong.
I went through my files and your site and
found the section “A Sorry, But Instructive, Little
Subterfuge” and since I was not going to work for
nothing I had nothing to lose by challenging my place of
work on this. I constructed
a letter from the
information you provided there and added a thing or two
that I thought should be included since I was throwing
this at a totally green reader.
Most importantly I copied and pasted from
the IRC the entire section 'SECTION 6331. Levy and
Distraint. (a) Authority of Secretary'...As to leave it
in no uncertain terms that this was not my opinion but a
direct read of the code conveniently provided for my
work or his lawyers to investigate on their own.
I thought I was out of a job. Much to my
surprise the owner sent the affidavit I provided to the
IRS. I'm sure more to cover his rear, not mine, but as
it turned out, the matter simply vanished. Imagine that?
He has recently commended me on my fortitude in defying
them and expressed his pride in me.
As soon as I saw I was still in the IRS's
sights I decided to file all remaining years I was
sitting on which at the time was
2007,
2008,
2009,
2011,
2012. I did so all at once on 8/29/13. I did not want to
think they would start giving me trouble with 5 years so
I was a bit nervous.
On 10/7/13 I received a
CP24 which stated I
was due a refund of 200.00 for the year 2007, but I
would not be getting it because the statute of
limitations had been exceeded. I did not know what they
were talking about at first until I recalled making an
estimated payment for 2007 on the advice of the
accountant I had do 03-06 for me. I had not asked for
this, but it told me one thing....they had processed all
5 years I had just submitted as I had stated and since
2007 was the only year that had any discrepancy in math
that was all I heard about. I now had 6 years of taxes
successfully filed as CtC returns! This time there would
be no challenge of my knowledge, as I had shot down the
1099 in my 2010 return, I had shot down the challenge of
the CP2000, I had shot down the challenge of a 668-W (the
true feather in my cap here).
Even after I fought off an attempt at work
to steal my pay for taxes owed for 2002 they tried to
get me at home for 2002 with more junk mail. I decided
it was time to cut this off at the source. On 12/26/13 I
filed
an amended return (1040X) for 2002 and eliminated
any testimony they could use to harass me further. I
have heard nothing since. I shot that down too!
I've since filed
2013 and
2014 with no
incident. It is fast, easy and free. Except for the
certified mail I use to force feed it to them. I use a
witness and a certificate of service on each return to
seal the deal. That makes 9 solid years of CtC filings.
I have also helped a couple others
understand their rights and assisted them in their own
CtC filings. So far one has heard nothing and is
preparing to file 2 more years he is sitting on. The
other received the CP2000 in Feb and I assisted him in
responding to that. I wanted to show to you or whoever
might be interested, that they have changed the form to
be much less obvious than it was in 2013. I have
provided images to demonstrate.
You and your family have restored my faith
in America and have shown me that standing up for ones
rights is a simple as learning what they are.

REAL AMERICAN STEVE SCHALER shares his first
victory today, as well. Steve was contacted by the IRS last
December, who pointed out that a payer had reported on a
1099-MISC that Steve had received more than $92,000 of "income"
in 2011:
Steve, who had made a couple of estimated payments
back during 2011 and 2012 but had not filed a return up to that
point, and had, in the interim, become CtC-educated, promptly
responded with an educated return. The IRS followed the law,
acknowledged that Steve had received no "income" and owed no
tax:

I Stand With Doreen
OF NECESSITY, I AM ASKING FOR HELP with Doreen's
legal expenses. It is my experience that when the name
Hendrickson appears on the caption, courts find themselves under
pressure from their clients to creatively misunderstand
arguments or authorities. Thus, my requests for oral arguments
in the appellate court have always been denied whenever I have
handled my own cases. I am sure the same would be true for
Doreen. But I believe it is harder for the courts to refuse such
requests when put by a licensed attorney admitted to practice
before a given court.
Partly for that reason, and partly to enjoy
the benefit of his many years of experience and excellent
quality of work, we are retaining a lawyer I know well and deem
to be an honorable man, and who is committed to working closely
with me on Doreen's appeal. All his good qualities
notwithstanding, though, Mark is not free, or even cheap.
Thus, I am asking all those who can and care to do

state in its efforts to evade that threat are unlike any others.

and forgive that my ability to timely respond to email is even
more compromised than usual, just as is my ability to post the
fresh and eclectic material I usually offer on this page. I've

members of the Knights Templar are burned at the stake as
heretics, having been tortured into confessions to this effect
by on the orders of King Philip IV of France, who was deeply in
debt to the order, and saw the charges as a way of eliminating
this problem and allowing the seizure of Templar assets, to boot
. In 1858, Minnesota becomes the 32nd of the several states,
and is admitted into the union as such. In 1973, charges
against Daniel Ellsberg for releasing "the Pentagon Papers", a
7,000-page top-secret United States government report about the
history of the Government's internal planning and policy

Regarding The "PATRIOT" Act...
AT THE END OF THIS MONTH, THE "PATRIOT" Act is up
for expiration (in some of its more
obnoxious, Constitution-destroying aspects) or renewal (of
same). I think any reader of these pages knows which way I come
down on this choice, so I will not waste time holding forth in
that regard.
Instead, I will just offer the following photos of
the Germanwing airplane crash that took place in March. The
point? It's simple-- although the "PATRIOT" Act was actually
written prior to 9/11, the events of that day in 2001 were the
pretext for fastening this monster onto our beloved land of
liberty. Thus, the truth about those events is relevant in
considering the proper course vis-a-vis the Act. (Well, not
really-- this dog deserves to die even if it the pretext on
which it is based were as good as gold. But I'm trying to be
generous here, 'cause the facts favor the good guys anyway...)
With that in mind, then, and also the amazing lack
of debris at the alleged sites of 9/11 plane crashes in Virginia
(at the Pentagon) and in Pennsylvania, which we were told was
just how it is when high-speed crashes occur, let's look at the
scene of the latest real high-speed airplane crash:

A Question For All The Legal
Scholars Out There
HERE'S THE QUESTION, oh my legal scholar
compadres: Is there ANY precedent in all of American history
for a deliberately false "judicial finding" of what is
[supposedly] said in a book?
Mind you, I'm not talking about a finding as to
some characteristic or quality of what appears in a book,
such as that what appears in a book is obscene (or not), or
anything like that.
I'm talking about the government-requested
"finding" by Judge Nancy Edmunds-- who has admitted to never
reading the book-- that
CtC argues that only federal, state and local government
workers are subject to the income tax. (The government
also makes the equally absurd claim that CtC argues that
"wages are not income" when doing so suits its purposes,
by the way, the fact that this contradicts what it asked
Edmunds to "find" notwithstanding).
So, again, has this EVER happened before?
I contend that it has not; that this
phenomenon, like so many associated with
CtC over its 12-year history is entirely
unprecedented.
Do your research, my friends. See if I'm wrong.

event and understands its implications.

Media Evasion Of CtC Must End, Now
Time, unfortunately, is on the side of the
well-funded disinformation specialists
Are You Having Trouble Spreading The
Word?
SKEPTICISM (SOMETIMES INVOKED BY FEAR) IS TO BE
EXPECTED when you're trying to explain to someone that
everything they've been encouraged their whole lives to
believe about something as entrenched and significant as the
income tax is basically nonsense. So here's a way to help
cut through the resistance:
Ask your listener how he or she would react if
you were to show an announcement from the Commissioner of
Internal Revenue admitting that the tax doesn't apply to the
earnings of most Americans and is misapplied most of the
time because people don't understand how it works? Or how
about if you showed a ruling from the Supreme Court saying
the same?
Now you just have to explain that
you're going to show exactly those things-- but because
the state really doesn't want people to know this, these
things haven't been said quite as forthrightly as we would
all wish. It's going to take a bit more work to take these
admissions in than is sufficient for just reading a press
release. But it'll be worth the effort...

A teacher asked
her 6th grade class how many of them were fans of Big Government.
Not really knowing what a Big Government fan is, but wanting to be liked by

teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for TJ.

The Tyranny Of One Man's Opinion

Thomas Cromwell was the principal behind-the-scenes
fixer for much of the reign of King Henry VIII. He engineered the
interrogations, convictions and executions of many whom Henry needed
out of the way, including his two predecessors as fixer and even the
king’s second wife, Queen Anne.
When Cromwell’s son, Gregory, who became sickened as he
watched his father devolving from counselor to monster, learned that
an executioner for the queen had been sent for from France a week
before her conviction, he asked his father what the purpose of her
trial was if the king had preordained the queen’s guilt and prepaid
the executioner. Cromwell replied that the king needed a jury to
give legitimacy to her conviction and prevent the public perception
of “the tyranny of one man’s opinion.”
In America, we have a Constitution not only to prevent
the perception but also to prevent the reality of the tyranny of one
man’s opinion. The Constitution’s Fifth Amendment makes clear that
if the government wants life, liberty or property, it cannot take it
by legislation or executive command; it can do so only by due
process — a fair jury trial and all its constitutional protections.

Woman Sentenced For Thwarting IRS Effort To
Suborn Perjury

A Michigan woman is calling on Governor Rick Snyder to
intervene and protect her from being put in a federal prison after
what she calls a crudely engineered criminal conviction for her
refusal to comply with unlawful orders of a federal court—orders
commanding her not just that she must testify, but what she must
say. According to the Department of Justice2, she "was sentenced to
serve 18 months in prison."
As described in The Kentucky Free Press in November of
20131, Doreen Hendrickson was charged two years ago with criminal
contempt of court for refusing to comply with DOJ- and IRS-requested
orders from a federal court in 2007. The court commanded Hendrickson
to amend her freely-made tax returns for 2002 and 2003 with content
dictated by the tax agency, by which she would be made to declare
that all her earnings for those years are subject to the income tax.
She eventually did submit the amended returns, but with a
declaration that she had been coerced. The DOJ told the judge that
the IRS could not process her returns under those circumstances.
The judge then ordered Mrs. Hendrickson to sign the
dictated-content forms declaring under oath that she personally
believes what she has been ordered to say, and to conceal the fact
that the words are not her own. Such orders have never been made to
an American before in history, whether in regard to a tax return or
any other kind of document or testimony. “This is not a tax case.
This is about my right to be in charge of my own testimony, to speak
my conscience, and to protect my own property interests in a legal
contest, even when that contest is with my government,” Hendrickson
says. “If the court can force me to amend my return, put numbers on
it dictated by the IRS that I know aren’t correct, and make me hide
the fact that I was coerced, then you might as well set fire to the
Bill of Rights.”

Innocent IV authorizes the torture of accused heretics in order
to secure confessions and information about others. In 1776,
the Virginia Convention declares the colony's independence from
Great Britain, and instructs its delegation to the Continental
Congress to propose a joint declaration on behalf of all of the
American colonies. In 1862, the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture is
created. In 1911, the United States Supreme Court declares
Standard Oil to be too successful and orders its breakup under
the auspices of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. In 1940, the first

About The Author
Pete Hendrickson is possibly the
most effective lawyer in history, even while never having
set foot in a law school, nor ever being a card-carrying
member of "the bar". He is the first American in history to
secure a complete refund of Social Security and Medicare
‘contributions’ withheld from his earnings (along with all
other property taken for federal taxes); further, since 2003
students of his legal analyses and arguments in ‘Cracking
the Code- The Fascinating Truth About Taxation In America’
(CtC), and its sequel, 'Was
Grandpa Really a Moron?' have been routinely
retaining and recovering billions of dollars which
otherwise-- wrongly, but as a matter of course-- would have
gone to federal or state government treasuries. This despite
concerted efforts by government to suppress his work,
and in some cases
vigorously oppose the claims by
his students.
Hendrickson is also a widely-read essayist on matters of
politics, public policy and law; many of these works are
collected in his second book, ‘Upholding
the Law And Other Observations’. He is a member of
Mensa; an
award-winning artist; and has paid his dues as a youth
soccer coach. He is a long-time political activist as
well, and has served as co-chair and platform convention
delegate of Michigan’s largest county Libertarian Party
organization; as a consultant to the National Right to Work
Foundation and Citizens for a Sound Economy; as a member of the
Heartland Institute; and as a member of the International
Society for Individual Liberty. He is a frequent
radio-show guest on stations across the country.
Hendrickson's business career has included nearly a
decade-and-a-half at the leading edge of the renewable-energy
industry, both as Director of Purchasing and Materials
Management and member of the R&D board at Starpak Energy
Systems, the mid-west's then-largest solar heating and
energy-recovery-and re-utilization company; and as founder and
president of AFJ Inc., a high-efficiency lighting design,
manufacture and installation firm.
Beginning in the mid-1990s and continuing for the twelve years
before his present full-time focus on the restoration of the
rule of law in America, Hendrickson directed purchasing
activities for the $84 million-a-year multi-family-housing
division of the Farmington Hills, Michigan branch of Edward Rose
and Sons, with responsibility for 18,000+ apartments, direct
supervision of 35 technicians and agents, and incidental
authority over several hundred divisional workers. He also
ran the division's 10 cable television earth-station and
distribution systems in four states, and designed and
administered the company's website.
On
rather the other end of the spectrum, amidst these more mundane
pursuits Hendrickson co-founded and was the primary creative
force behind a small
board- and
card-game company that enjoyed a modest success for several
years.
Hendrickson makes his home in southeast Michigan, with his wife
and two children. He is currently working on his next
book.
